LGBT+ Soup Kitchen

Manos Amigues currently serves 4,000 hot meals each month, every Monday - Friday, to people in need in Mexico City. Our clients include homeless, elderly, disabled and migrant populations. Our programming is run primarily by LGBT-identified people in order to provide a safe space for our community, however our doors are open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The meals consist of soup, tortillas, rice, beans, a main dish that changes daily, beverages and dessert.  Manos Amigues also serves as a clothing donation center, provides regular HIV/STI testing free of charge and organizes an annual toy drive for underpriveleged children.

The outpouring of love and support for the soup kitchen program has been more than we ever could have imagined but it remains a work in progress. The majority of our staff are volunteers. Please donate today to keep our LGBT+ soup kitchen going and growing and to be able to pay our dedicated staff a living wage.
